This week all the buzz was about diagonale, a film festival located in Graz.
The title for the best innovative film won an experimental documentary named ★, which I was really anxious to see yesterday at midnight, in one of the cinemas in Graz.
In the past 8 years Johann Lurf created a collage of 553 different movie scenes of the night sky. They were mounted in a chronological order all the way from 1905 till 2017. I must say it was really unique experience, 90 minutes of beautiful Milky way scenes. It was interesting to see how the technology in film industry evolved, from the very simple in 1905 to complex in nowadays. My friends were also trying to figure out which movie scene belonged to which movie, but believe me it was quite a challenge :)
